Putra on that occasion expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Government of West Sumatra and the Provincial Government of Jeollabuk-do for entrusting the Tanah Datar District Command as the host for the signing of the LoI.
"Istano Basa Pagaruyung is a symbol of greatness and unification for the people in Minangkabau and is a leading destination in West Sumatra, so there is a term that you have not been to West Sumatra if you have not been to Istano Basa Pagaruyung, so it is appropriate to sign this LoI here, considering that this building is also a historic building," he said.
Regent Putra said that Tanah Datar which is surrounded by four mountains, Mount Marapi, Singgalang, Tandikek and Sago has 1/3 of Lake Singkarak and 200 tourist destinations.
Regarding the signing of this sister-province collaboration, the Tanah Datar Regency Government is ready to support and succeed the LoI collaboration, and asked the Provincial Government of West Sumatra and Jeollabuk-de Province to be able to also cooperate with the Tanah Datar Regency Government in the fields of culture and tourism.
Governor Ansharullah said that Jeollabuk-do Province, which is rich in culture, history, and extraordinary natural resources, has many similarities with West Sumatra, such as directly facing the open sea, Jeollabuk-do to the west of the Yellow Sea and West Sumatra facing the Indian Ocean.
