Enchanting Islands Of Madina

MADINA, POTRETKITA.net - Mandailing Natal (Madina) Regency, North Sumatra Province, is divided into two main areas, namely the coast and the mainland along the Bukit Barisan. Both represent incomparable wealth and potential for prosperity.

If along the Bukit Barisan is very well known for rice, palm oil, coffee, cocoa, plantation and forestry products, then in the coastal area there is fertile land filled with oil palm plantations. And....beautiful beach destinations stretching along the Indonesian Ocean. Off the coast, there are many small islands that have the potential to be developed into tourist destinations.

In the vast ocean, there are Tamang Island, Gadang Island, Ketek Island, Telo Island, Ringawan Island, and others. Beautiful beaches with their uniqueness and become a fun place to enjoy holidays with family and close relatives, are found in Batahan, Natal, and Muara Batang Gadis.

Sundutan Tigo is a village in the Natal District area. Karo Beach, which is located in the village, keeps the charm of extraordinary beach tourism. "Its beauty has great potential, it is also supported by small islands. Immediately look for efforts to build the facilities, according to the standards and designs that have been prepared, so that this tourist object has a positive impact on improving the economy," said Deputy Regent of Madina Atika Azmi Utammi, during a visit there, earlier this week.

Azmi explored the fine sandy beaches and visited the beautiful islands, including Ringawan Island which has the potential to be developed. He wants to ensure that the development of beach-based tourism in Madina can be carried out, as an effort to improve the welfare of the residents.

After seeing the condition and beauty of the Karo beach which is supported by the existence of small islands such as Gadang Island, Ketek Island, Telur Island and Ringawan Island, the Deputy Regent gave directions to immediately seek efforts to build facilities according to the standards and designs that have been prepared so that this tourist attraction has an impact. economic development of the people.

By riding a speed boat managed by the Badan Usaha Milik Desa (Bumdes) with Serumun, the wabup explored the ocean from Karo Beach to Ringawan Island. Not too far, because it only takes about 15 minutes. The beauty of the white sand and blue sea seen from the island, made the youngest female deputy regent in Indonesia even more fascinated. To the west of Ringawan Island, there are coral reefs that are still awake.

Citing information from the official website of the Madina Regency Government; madina.go.id, in the 1980s the island was inhabited by residents of Sundutan Tigo who later moved to the village of Sundutan Tigo which is now.

The coastal area of Madina with a service and trade center located in the historic city of Natal, does have potential in the tourism sector, especially coastal tourism which has not been fully developed. For its development, the area requires the construction of tourist facilities, good road infrastructure and ports. The community must also support by protecting the environment and preserving the coast.

Good roads to reach the west coast of Madina, are now available from West Pasaman, West Sumatra Province, and from Batangtoru, South Tapanuli Regency. However, the main road infrastructure from Panyabungan is in very poor condition.(musriadi musanif)
