F1H20 Danau Toba Becomes World Spotlight

TOBA, potretkita.net - The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan estimates that the F1 Powerboat race event on Danau Toba will be watched by 180 million people. The race, which will be held on February 26, 2023, will be broadcast live worldwide.

"Danau (Lake) Toba will be the talk of the world because we will be watched by more than 180 million people. I never imagined Danau Toba would be watched live by 180 million viewers," said Luhut, during a press conference at the F1 Powerboat Media Center in Balige, Friday (24/2).

Danau Toba is expected to host F1H20 for five years. "I hope we can hold events here five years in a row," said Luhut.

Luhut also said that F1H20 Founder Nicolo San Germano was satisfied with the teamwork given during the preparation for the race. Luhut also appreciated all parties who had worked together in preparing for the race.

"I entrust cleanliness, service, courtesy to our guests, so they want to come back. The main thing is that we get a multiplier effect from this event, it can drive the economy in Toba, North Sumatra and Indonesia," said Luhut.

F1H20 founder Nicolo Di San Germano said Danau Toba was chosen as the host because it was magnificent, beautiful and very worthy of being known by the world community. Therefore, Warner Bros. has become the official broadcast channel for F1 Powerboat in the world.

"We can be sure that this event will become an international conversation, because we will see the Warner Bros network until the event ends," said Nicolo.

Marit Stromoy, a female F1 Powerboat racer, was amazed by Danau Toba. He never came to a racing location like Danau Toba. "Danau Toba is something I haven't experienced yet, that's the unique thing about Danau Toba," he said.

Another racer, Shaun Torrente, is also enthusiastic about racing on Danau Toba. “The beauty of this lake is one of the most stunning I have ever seen,” said Torrente.

Meanwhile the Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi was grateful because Danau Toba was made the host of the F1 Powerboat. He revealed that Danau Toba has an extraordinary history and at one time influenced the world.
